After hours of downtime, DeepSeek compensated us!

Down for Hours, DeepSeek Pays Compensation!

Machine Heart Editorial Team

Compensation has arrived, DeepSeek issued tokens.

Around 8 a.m. this morning, DeepSeek’s website and API suddenly became largely unavailable, showing “Server temporarily unavailable.” The official status page indicated that the chat service, V4 Pro API, and V4.1 Flash API were all affected, constituting a partial outage.

Around 9 a.m., the announcement was updated to “Root cause identified, repair in progress.” However, the service disruption lasted a long time; it was still not back to normal by noon, and many users still couldn’t access it. Around 12:50 p.m., DeepSeek completed the fix, after nearly five hours of downtime.

Because this fluctuation affected developers and applications accessing DeepSeek via API, the official team unusually granted bonus credits in the afternoon, almost everyone got some.

I quickly checked my account too, over 4 units, hahaha:

On social networks, people have also started showing the number of cyber egg drops, with the highest seeing over 300 yuan. The DeepSeek platform announced that this is calculated based on your API usage over the past 7 days.

Netizens who received compensation are happy and are already hoping for more outages.
